Working Environments was founded in 1997 by Shannon Buchner, current President and owner. Prior to launching Working Environments, Shannon gained over 6 years of ergonomics experience in her career, ranging from work in rehabilitation clinics to ergonomic product sales. The company began serving the Windsor, Ontario market, focusing on selling unique ergonomic products for office and industrial applications. In 2000, Working Environments expanded into the US market and currently maintains an office in Dearborn, MI to serve the metro-Detroit area.

Today, Working Environments has grown into a full office furniture dealership as well as industrial equipment distributor, while continuing to specialize in ergonomic products for the home, office, and manufacturing environments. We have built a strong reputation for our excellent service and our expertise in solving even the most difficult ergonomic related problems. Our mission is to continue to stress the importance of ergonomics in any work environment, and become the recognized source for ergonomic furniture and related products in the Windsor and metro-Detroit area.
